Protect Your Land

Claims protect your base, storage, animals and builds from other players. This guide covers everything needed to create, resize and manage them.
Video Tutorial Coming SoonIn the meantime, everything you need is covered in the written guide below.
Quick Start

Create Your First Claim

Create a quick starter claim or select the exact area yourself using the golden shovel.

1

Open the Claims Menu

Run /claim to open the main RhinoMC claims menu.

2

Claim Your Location

Click Claim Here to protect a starter area around where you are standing.

3

Create a Custom Claim

Hold the golden shovel and right-click two opposite corners of the area you want protected.

4

Inspect the Land

Right-click the ground with a stick to see the claim owner and its borders.

Claim Basics

Tools and Claim Blocks

Your claim tools control the protected area. Claim blocks determine how much land you can protect.

Golden Shovel

Right-click two opposite corners to create a claim. Right-click an existing claim corner to resize it.

Inspection Stick

Right-click any block to check whether it is claimed, who owns it and where its borders are.

Check Your Claim Blocks

Use /claimslist to see your claims and remaining claim blocks.

Replace Lost Tools

Use /kit claims or click Get Claim Tools inside the claims menu.

Larger claims use more claim blocks. Shrinking or deleting a claim returns its used blocks.

Sharing Access

Trust Other Players

Trusting someone gives them permission to use parts of your protected area. Only give them the level of access they need.

/trust Player

Building Access

Allows the player to place and break blocks, use containers and interact with the claim.

/accesstrust Player

Basic Access

Allows doors, buttons, levers and beds without allowing the player to build or use containers.

/containertrust Player

Containers and Animals

Allows containers, crafting blocks, animals and basic access interactions without allowing building.

Stand inside a claim to change only that claim. Stand outside all your claims to apply the permission across every claim you own.

Management

Manage Your Claims

Resize, share, or remove your claims at any time with the golden shovel and a few simple commands.

Resize a Claim

Right-click an existing claim corner with the golden shovel. Move to its new position and right-click again.

Expanding uses more claim blocks. Shrinking returns unused blocks.

Remove Access

/untrust Player removes one player's permissions.

/untrust all removes everyone.

/trustlist shows the current permissions.

Delete a Claim

Stand inside the claim and use /unclaim.

Your build remains, but the land will no longer be protected.

Your First Chest

Your first chest may automatically create a small starter claim. Use the golden shovel to resize it around the rest of your base.

Advanced Claims

Subdivide a Claim

Subclaims split a large claim into smaller permission areas. They are useful for shops, rentals, player warps and shared bases.

1

Enter Subdivision Mode

Stand inside the main claim and run /subdivideclaims.

2

Select the Area

Use the golden shovel to select two opposite corners inside the main claim.

3

Set Permissions

Stand inside the subclaim and use the normal trust commands.

Subclaims normally inherit permissions from the main claim. Use /restrictsubclaim to stop that inheritance. Use /basicclaims to leave subdivision mode.
